IAC begins production of premium doors in Prestice, Czech Republic

Expansion of Eastern Europe footprint next to center of excellence for headliners

Prestice, Czech Republic (March 8, 2018) – International Automotive Components (IAC), a global automotive and mobility leader in lightweight and new-material interior solutions, officially opened its state-of-the-art plant for premium door panels in Prestice, Czech Republic. The new location will be the company’s third operation in Prestice and will add 800 more skilled jobs to the 1,300 already employed by IAC in the area.

IAC has invested over $40 million (USD) into the new facility, which covers an area of more than 32,560 square meters (350,470 square feet). Having recently executed the flawless launch of serial door panel production, the operation is well positioned to accommodate further growth.

The greenfield site is the final phase of IAC’s Prestice 2 location and will enable the company to continue supporting its customers from a Central-eastern European location while leveraging the strong employer-of-choice reputation established in the area with the Prestice 1 site, the company’s center of excellence for headliners in Europe.

The March 7, 2018 grand opening ceremony was attended by IAC global leadership and local employees, together with customer representatives and regional authorities.
