International Automotive Components Opens Korea Office; Supports Expansion Efforts with Global Automakers

INCHEON, KOREA (Jan. 24, 2013) – As part of its ongoing growth in Asia, International Automotive Components (IAC) has opened a Sales and Engineering office in the Bupyeong-gu district in Incheon, South Korea.

The office is part of IAC’s global network, which includes Europe, North America and other locations in the Asia-Pacific region. The location, IAC’s first in South Korea, aligns the automotive interiors supplier’s business commitment to support Korean OEMs with technical operations in the region.

IAC currently supplies interior components for a number of Hyundai and Kia programs through Hyundai Mobis and also will support additional new business growth opportunities with other local customers such as Ssangyong Motor, Renault Samsung Motors and GM Korea from the new location.

“We are excited about the opportunity to support additional customers here as they introduce exciting new vehicles to the market,” said Brian Pour, Vice President of IAC’s North Asia region.  “Expanding our global footprint into this important region is key for us as we continue to grow our business.”

The new office represents another key milestone in IAC’s continued growth in the Asia-Pacific region, which has expanded year-over-year to include 16 manufacturing locations, as well as five design and technical facilities and joint ventures in China, Malaysia and Thailand, serving a broad customer base that includes the multinational and domestic OEMs around the world.
