Maurice Sessel is President, North America for International Automotive Components (IAC). In this role, Sessel oversees all primary central business functions for the North American region, including Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Quality and Procurement. In addition, he sets strategy and oversees the global core Engineering and R&D functions.
With more than 32 years in the automotive industry, Sessel has extensive experience in operations and engineering. Prior to his current role, he was Senior Vice President of Global Engineering at IAC, responsible for all product engineering, design, tooling development, manufacturing engineering, advanced development and global material engineering. Before joining IAC, he served in several senior leadership roles at Lear Corporation (1998 – 2007) including Vice President of Global Trim Operations, Vice President of Mexican Operations, Vice President of Chrysler Car and Jeep Platforms, Vice President of Ford Truck and Van Platforms and Vice President of Engineering for the Interior Systems Division. Prior to Lear, Sessel started his automotive career at Ford Motor Company in 1983 where over the next 15 years he held numerous positions in engineering and manufacturing operations including, Engineering Manager of Poland Operations, Vehicle Launch Manager for Automotive Components Division, Area Manager for the Saline Plant and Assistant Plant Manager for the Sheldon Road Plant.
Sessel received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming.
